Totapuri mangoes (Mangifera indica) feature an ablong shape with a pointed base and a brilliant golden yellow color that resembles flames. Totapuri is an exceptional fruit with a tangy and flavorful taste.
Southern India, notably Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, is where these types of mangoes are grown. This cultivar provides significant benefits to farmers.
Mangoes may grow in any soil type as long as it is deep and well-drained. It is important to have red and loamy soils. Mango trees thrive in soils with a pH of 6.5 to 7.5.
Tropical and subtropical climates are ideal for mango cultivation. It can flourish anywhere in the country, from sea level to 600 meters above sea level.
Planting takes place in August-September as well as February-March. Plant during the chilly evening hours. Strong winds should be avoided.
Mango trees demand less water than other trees. Two to three days every week, you must irrigate your mango farms. Irrigation should be applied every 5 to 7 days in the warmer months and each 25 to 30 days in wintertime.
