India's 6 Largest Sapota (Chiku) Producing States

Gujarat is the leading state in India for Sapota production, with a significant production of 273.87 thousand tonnes, accounting for approximately 32.84% of the country's total production.

Andhra Pradesh is the second-largest producer of Sapota in India. The state contributed 202.20 thousand tonnes of Sapota to the national production, representing a share of 24.24%.

Maharashtra is another significant contributor to India's Sapota production. The state produced 109.10 thousand tonnes of Sapota, accounting for 13.08% of the total production.

Karnataka secured the fourth position in Sapota production in India for the mentioned year. The state's contribution was 102.00 thousand tonnes, representing a share of 12.23%.

West Bengal's production of Sapota in 2021-22 was 47.38 thousand tonnes, contributing 5.68% to India's total output, despite being a smaller producer compared to the top states.

Tamil Nadu rounds up the list of significant Sapota-producing states in India. The state produced 29.43 thousand tonnes of Sapota in the specified year, making up 3.53% of the national production.
