Paddy demands a hot and humid climate. It grows best in regions with high humidity, longer sunshine and water supply.

Create field channels, fill any existing cracks in the soil to resist water loss, level the field, and construct bounds or boundaries to limit water loss.

Weed control can be done through manual weeding by hand or mechanical weeding using implements like sickles, hoes, etc., or herbicides.

This disease occurs in poor soils, so give proper nutrition to the crop or plant in warm soil using disease-resistant varieties and spraying fungicides.

Stop irrigation a week before harvesting. The dehydration will ripen the crop. Rice is generally harvested when the moisture content is about 25%.
