Chausa mangoes are known for their sweet and aromatic flavour and are famous in North India. This fruit's sweet pulp and bright yellow skin is named after a town in Bihar.
The ideal conditions for chausa mango are alluvial soils rich in organic matter, with a pH ranging from 6.5 to 7.5 and a favorable temperature of 22 °C -27 °C.
For Chausa Mango Farming, the land preparation involves ploughing, harrowing, and leveling for proper drainage. Whereas spacing is based on the growth conditions.
Chausa mango trees don't need watering during monsoons, except during drought. In the dry season, water young plants every 2-3 days and 2-5-year-old trees every 4-5 days.
Flowering commences as early as November or typically in December in Rayalaseema & South Konkan. In northern India, mango blooms from February to March, reaching full bloom in March.
For thriving chausa mango trees, apply low nitrogen, high potassium and phosphorus liquid fertiliser containing magnesium, like 6-6-6-2 (N-P-K-Mg) every month.
