The ideal planting time for cardamom is between June to July during monsoon season. Light drizzles or cloudy days are also ideal for planting.

Harvesting

Cardamom plants are ready to bear fruits within the 2nd & 3rd year of plantation. Oct to Nov is ideal time for harvesting cardamom.

Average Yield

With great practices, farmers can procure an average yield of 450/500 kg cardamom/ha.
