A report from FADA reveals that tractor retail sales in January’23 have seen a rise in YoY sales by 7.95%. The FADA’s (Federation of Automobiles Dealers Association) report was released early this morning. The tractor retails sales report also projected some details of restarting China’s factories, which will boost global supplies of tractor parts and semiconductors. Henceforth, consumers in India will witness a lower waiting period in future as compared to the COVID lockdown period.
Furthermore, the economic survey 2022-23 presented in parliament earlier this year discussed the steady positive increase in rural labour wages. Henceforth, giving a detour to rural inflation will ensure a positive farm mechanisation rate in the areas discussed. Furthermore, a reduction in a surcharge at the highest IT slab will benefit the electronification of tractors and other farming equipment. Henceforth leading to more efficient and modern farming machines.
In addition to the above facts, talking about the individual YOY percentage growth and market acquisition, Mahindra & Mahindra’s tractor division leads the race, as usual. Speaking a bit more, the market share by M&M’s tractor division in Jan’23 was 23.21%. Furthermore, the tractor retail sales for the division witnessed a YoY growth of 30.74%.
Speaking of M&M’s Swaraj division, the market share in January this year stood at 17%. Furthermore, the percentage YoY tractor retail sales growth was found to be 33.5%. M&M’s Swaraj division thus stands tall at the second position when the tractor retail sales report of Jan’23 is taken into consideration.
Additionally, Sonalika of International Tractors Limited occupied the third position (12.2%) in terms of market share in Jan’23. Further speaking of its YoY growth this Jan, the tractor retail sales report by FADA says that it has witnessed a loss of around 2% as compared to the previous year.
The fourth position is occupied by Tafe Limited (approx. 11%) when the Indian market share is taken into consideration in Jan’23. Furthermore, speaking of FADA’s tractor retail sales report, the tractor manufacturer has witnessed a rise of 26.3% as compared to the previous year.
Talking about the fifth position by market share in Jan’23, Escorts Limited (Agri Machinery division) claimed it by selling 7,670 tractors in Jan’23. It was around 10.5% of the total market share in India. Talking a bit more, the YoY tractor retail sales for the group witnessed an increase of 40.5% as compared to the previous year.
Speaking more about the tractor retail sales report by FADA, John Deere India Pvt Ltd (tractor division) stood at sixth position (by market share) in the race of selling tractors. The brand sold about 5812 tractors in the month of January 2023. Furthermore, John Deere’s India division also witnessed a rise of 19.17% YoY growth in terms of tractor retail sales as compared to the previous January.
Additionally, Eicher tractors occupied the seventh position by selling 4900 tractors this January. The tractor brand claimed 6.7% of the tractor retail market share in the previous month this year. Talking about the percentage YoY growth in tractor retail sales, the brand witnessed 2.27% growth as compared to the previous year.
Further speaking, CNH Industrial (India) Pvt. Ltd. took the eighth position by selling 2861 tractors in the country with a market share of 3.91%. Furthermore, the company recorded a 28.12% YoY growth in tractor retail sales the previous month.
In addition to the above facts, the tractor brand Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd. claimed the ninth position by selling 2318 tractors and gaining a market share of 3.17%. The tractor brand claimed a YoY growth of 61.19% in tractor retail sales as compared to the previous year, FADA says.
Additionally speaking, the VST Tiller Tractor Limited sold an amount limited to 568 tractors with a market share of 0.78% this January. The retail tractor sales report by FADA said that the brand witnessed a 37.19% increase in tractor retail sales this January as compared to the last year. Henceforth occupying the tenth position by market share.
Further speaking, Force Motors Limited sold 445 tractors and claimed 0.61% of the market share. Henceforth, it stood at the eleventh position in the Indian retail sales report. The tractor sales for the brand witnessed 4.21% growth as compared to the previous year.
Whilst Captain Tractors Pvt. Ltd claimed the 12th position by market share by selling 236 tractors. Furthermore, the tractor brand witnessed a rise of 38.82% in tractor retail sales this January as compared to the previous year.
Speaking more about the individual performance of tractor brands, Growmax by Trakstar claimed the 13th position by selling 229 tractors in Jan’23. The tractor brand’s figures stood still regarding %YoY change.
Talking a bit more, Preet Tractors Pvt. Ltd. made a significant 227 tractor sales to Jan’s tractor retail sales. The company witnessed a loss of 39.47% in YoY sales this January.
Furthermore, the rest of the Indian tractor sales amounted to 2.11% of the market share and a YoY loss of 89.96%.
Conclusively speaking, the total amount of tractor retail sales in the month of Jan’23 was 73,156, which was way higher than the 67,764 tractor sales the previous year.
