On November 6, 2023, the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations of India (FADA) shared a report about tractor sales. The report showed that there was a 6.15% increase in tractor sales in October 2023 compared to the same month in 2022.
Specifically, 62,440 tractors were sold in October 2023, which is higher than the 58,823 units sold in the same month the previous year. This data suggests that October 2023 was a good month for the companies that make tractors.
In October 2023, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. tractor division sold 14,180 tractors. This number was higher than the 13,024 units they sold in October 2022. This increase marks a notable rise of 8.88%.
In October 2023, MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LIMITED SWARAJ DIVISION sold 11,054 tractors. This was a big increase of about 16.46% compared to the 9,492 tractors they sold in October 2022. Their market share was 17.70%.
Meanwhile, TAFE LIMITED experienced a gain of 6.20%, selling 8,671 tractors in October 2023. This is in comparison to 8,165 units sold in October 2022.
INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS LIMITED saw a rise in the number of tractors they sold in Oct’23. They sold 7,690 tractors, which is more than the 6,516 units they sold in October 2022. This is an increase of about 18.02%. This growth also gave them a market share of 1.24%.
Escorts Limited sold 6,261 tractors in October 2023. This reflects significant growth, almost 13.67%. Compared to the 5,508 tractors they sold in October 2022.
John Deere sold 4,579 tractors in October 2023. This number represented a slight decrease, about 0.76%, compared to the 4,614 tractors they sold in October 2022.
Eicher achieved robust tractor sales in October 2023. They sold 4,267 units, a 16.78% increase from the 3,654 units sold in October 2022.
In October 2023, CNH INDUSTRIAL sold 2,476 tractors, more than the 2,345 tractors sold in October 2022, increasing by 5.59%.
In October 2023, KUBOTA sold 1,091 tractors. This is a significant drop from October 2022, when they sold 1,401 fewer tractors, marking a decrease of 22.13%. However, its market share declined by 0.63% during this period.
V.S.T. TILLERS TRACTORS achieved a significant milestone in October 2023 by selling 298 tractors. This marked a substantial drop from the 523 tractors they sold in October 2022. However, the company experienced a loss of 43.02%.
In October 2023, FORCE MOTORS LIMITED faced some difficulties with their sales, as they were only able to sell 232 units. This was a notable drop of 8.30% when compared to the 253 units they sold in October 2022.
Sales for different tractor brands in October 2023 reached 1,641 units. This was a notable decrease from the 3,328 units sold in October '22, showing a drop of almost 50.69%.
