Mahindra Records Highest Tractor Sales of 64,326 Units in October 2024, Achieving 30% Growth

Mumbai, November 1, 2024: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector announced its tractor sales for October 2024. The company sold 64,326 tractors in India this October, up from 49,336 in October 2023. Total sales, including exports, reached 65,453 units, compared to 50,460 last year. Exports for the month were 1,127 units.

Mahindra & Mahindra has also released its Year-to-Date (YTD) tractor sales figures for October 2024. The company saw an increase in domestic sales, with 270,562 units sold in 2024 compared to 248,060 units in 2023, marking a 9%  rise in the domestic market.

On the other hand, Mahindra's YTD Tractor Sales Report for October 2024 shows a significant 30% increase in the export market. The company achieved 9,740 units in export sales in October 2024, compared to 7,470 units in October 2023. 

Overall, Mahindra’s YTD total units sold were 280,302 in October 2024, an increase of 10% from 255,530 units sold in October 2023. Furthermore, this reflects a good increase  in the company's export performance.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said “We have sold 64326 tractors in the domestic market during October, a growth of 30% over last year. The tractor industry has seen very robust growth on the back of many positive factors coming together, notable being a very good monsoon, a good Kharif crop, high reservoir levels which will help in Rabi crops, and the government's announcement of higher MSP on key Rabi crops. With festive season providing momentum to positive sentiments, we expect demand to remain strong in the coming months. In the exports market, we have sold 1127 tractors.”
