Mahindra Launches CBG-Powered Tractor Technology in New Delhi

New Delhi, September 02, 2024: The Indian tractor manufacturing company Mahindra Tractors has unveiled its first CBG (Compressed Bio-Gas) run Yuvo Tech+ tractor. The launch event featured  Shri Nitin Gadkari, Honourable Minister of Road Transport and Highways.

About Yuvo Tech+ Tractor

The Yuvo Tech+ operates on compressed biogas, a highly sustainable fuel produced by biodegradable substances such as farm food and other organic materials. This new fuel is less polluting and emits less CO2 than current CNG, which is based on fossil fuels.

This tractor provides performance and power in the same range as most diesel tractors designed for use in farming and haulage. It complies with Indian environmental requirements and proves that Mahindra has been paying attention to sustainable technology.

Mahindra’s focus on applying CBG technology is in line with its plans to advocate the use of environmentally friendly practices in farming. The company has previously discussed some alternative fuel technologies, such as CNG, LPG, and dual-fuel tractors.
