Maharashtra’s CM Launched First Electric Tractor AutoNxt In Thane

August 15, 2024, Maharashtra's CM, Eknath Shinde, launched India’s first electric tractor, the AutoNxt X45H2. The event took place at Talao Pali Lake Side in Thane. This innovative launch, planned right with the country's Independence Day, represents a substantial advancement in sustainable agricultural methods. The AutoNxt X45H2 is designed to save operating expenses and carbon emissions. 

The price of the AutoNxt X45H2 in India is set at ₹15.00 lakhs. It takes only 3 hours to charge this electric tractor completely. Once charged, it can run for up to 8 hours. The tractor has a loading capacity of 10-15 tons. Additionally, it offers a strong lifting capacity of 1800 kilograms. The AutoNxt X45H2 features smooth, smart, electrically controlled power steering. The launch sees Maharashtra's dedication to advancing electric vehicles in agriculture.

The highlight of the occasion was CM Shinde operating a live demonstration of the Electric Tractor and experiencing its innovative features. The tractor's ability to transform conventional farming was demonstrated by his remarkable response.

Prominent individuals who attended the ceremony were Dr. Shrikanth Shinde, MP of Kalyan; MLA of Thane, Ovla, and Mira Bhayander, Shri Pratap Sarnaik; and MP Naresh Mhaske of Thane. Their backing demonstrated the teamwork facilitating this technical breakthrough. This historic occasion was also seen by notable corporate executives and dignitaries from around Maharashtra.
