Harvester Retail Sales Report June 2024: Brands Performance and MoM Growth

Retail harvester sales in India for June 2024 stood at 595 units, reflecting a downward trend compared to previous figures. From January to June 2024, total sales reached 5791 units, a significant drop from the 9099 units sold in the same period last year, marking a clear year-on-year (YoY) decline.

The primary reason for this decrease is the upgrade from Bharat Stage III (BS3) to Bharat Stage IV (BS4) emission norms. This transition necessitated changes in harvesters' diesel engines, resulting in higher production costs and increased retail prices, thereby reducing overall sales.

Top Performers in the Harvester Market

Vishal (Manku Agrotech) emerged as the top harvester brand from January to June 2024, with 1067 units sold. Kartar and Malkit followed, with 775 and 399 units sold, respectively. Brands like Preet, John Deere, New Holland, and Punni Vishavkarma exhibited close competition, with minimal differences in their sales figures, indicating potential shifts in market rankings.
