India, 2 July 2024: DEUTZ is strengthening its 'Dual+' strategy by expanding its internal combustion engine business while also developing alternative propulsion options. The recent announcement of a partnership with Indian agricultural powerhouse TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited will enable DEUTZ to increase its presence in India.

In the first phase of the long-term partnership, TAFE Motors will build up to 30,000 engine units for Deutz in the 2.2 L (50-75 hp) and 2.9 L (75-100 hp) ranges, standards for Deutz's growing and expanded engine portfolio in various emissions.

Designed for new applications in the Indian market and to Deutz’s specifications, the engines will be manufactured at TAFE Motors’ manufacturing unit in Alwar, Rajasthan, India.

DEUTZ plans to use its Indian manufacturing facility to distribute spare engines to neighbouring markets in the APAC region, taking advantage of manufacturing and logistics cost savings.
