Greater Noida, India- July 22, 2024– CNH Industrial, one of the global leaders in agriculture, has rolled out its 700,000th tractor from its Greater Noida site. A special ceremony was held to mark this occasion, attended by CNH's new CEO, Gerrit Marx, who came to India to celebrate the occasion.
The production capacity of this unit has increased substantially since the Greater Noida plant was opened in 1999. It can now produce around 60,000 tractors in a year. Additionally, over 2,000 variants of such tractors are available, with 35 HP to 120 HP. These tractors are not only sold in the Indian market but also exported to more than 75 countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and North America.
Narinder Mittal, the Country Manager and Managing Director of CNH India & SAARC, expressed his joy over this achievement.“I’m delighted to celebrate the milestone of manufacturing 700,000 tractors together with our CEO and the India team. This accomplishment underscores our dedication to 'Made in India' and advancing agricultural development in the country,” Mittal said.
About CNH’s Greater Noida Plant:
The Greater Noida plant is one of the most modern tractor manufacturing plants in India. This 60-acre factory has a workforce of almost 1,200 workers and believes in sustainability. It runs on solar panels for energy and is engaged with an afforestation project using the Miyawaki Method.
This is the plant that produces tractors, engines, Power Take-Offs, and axles. For over 25 years, CNH India has played a driving role in the Indian agricultural and construction markets under the brands Case IH, New Holland, and CASE Construction Equipment. In 2018, CNH India also launched CNH Capital India, thereby offering financial solutions for these products.
