Cholamandalam Appoints Ravindra Kumar Kundu as New Managing Director

The Board of Directors of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (Chola) has appointed Mr. Ravindra Kumar Kundu as the new Managing Director for five years, effective from October 7, 2024. Mr. Kundu has been the Executive Director since January 2020.

Remarkable Growth Under Kundu's Leadership

Under Mr. Kundu’s leadership, Chola’s Assets Under Management (AUM) grew significantly. It increased from INR 67,000 crores in FY20 to INR 1,53,000 crores in FY24. This company’s profit before tax also rose from INR 1,500 crores in FY20 to INR 4,500 crores in FY24.

Talking about his educational background, Mr. Kundu completed his graduation with a degree in commerce background. He completed advanced management programs at the Kellogg School of  Management, the Indian School of Business, and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.

Also, Mr. Kundu has 24 years of experience at Chola and 36 years in the automobile and financial services industries. He has majorly performed leadership roles in credit, collections, and businesses.
